Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AI Down ("aidown.io"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. AI Down is operated by SecureCoders.

2. Description of Service

AI Down provides real-time monitoring and availability scoring for AI and LLM providers. The service includes a public dashboard, alert subscriptions, a public API, and supply chain dependency mapping. Monitoring data is derived from official status pages, synthetic API probes, and user reports.

3. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

AI Down provides monitoring data on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Availability scores (AIAS) are computed from synthetic probes and may not reflect your specific usage patterns, region, or workload.
  • Status page data depends on provider-published information, which may lag or underreport actual issues.
  • Uptime percentages represent our measurement of availability, not an SLA guarantee from the monitored provider.
  • We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data displayed on the site or returned via the API.

4. Account Terms

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys.
  • You must not share API keys or use them in a way that violates these terms.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. API Usage

The AI Down public API is available under the following terms:

  • Free tier: Up to 100 requests per day. No API key required for public endpoints.
  • Authenticated tier: Higher rate limits with an API key. See API documentation for current limits.
  • You must not use the API to build a competing service that replicates AI Down's core functionality.
  • Automated scraping of the website (as opposed to using the API) is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to rate-limit, throttle, or block API access to protect service availability.

6. Alert Subscriptions

Free alert subscriptions support up to 5 providers. Alert delivery is best-effort — we do not guarantee delivery time or completeness. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any alert email.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading user reports to manipulate provider status
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or harm monitored providers
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary algorithms
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

8. Intellectual Property

The AIAS methodology, AI Health Index, supply chain mapping, and AI Down brand are the property of SecureCoders. Provider names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureCoders and AI Down shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the service. This includes decisions made based on monitoring data or availability scores.

10. Modifications

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of AI Down after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Privacy

Your use of AI Down is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
